Opportunities

Usher - Are you friendly, helpful, and great with people? We always need volunteers to greet audience members and pass out programs. Our ushers watch IBO concerts for free!

Host an out-of-town musician - Host a musician or guest artist! IndyBaroque seeks hosts to house out-of-town musicians in order to reduce high hotel costs. When hosts are able to house a musician, more money can be redirected into programming and other operations.

Join our Board of Directors - For almost 30 years, the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra has worked to enrich audiences through exceptional performances, educational outreach, and meaningful community partnerships. Board members are crucial to the success of the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra. We are actively seeking community members and business associates to volunteer their time, talent, and resources to support the operation of the orchestra, drive strategy, and execute its mission.

Get involved with committees - Do you have an interest or expertise that you would like to share with IBO? Join one of our committees and make a tangible impact on the community.

  • Development – Our Development Committee is responsible for overseeing and supporting fundraising efforts to secure financial resources for the organization. This committee develops and implements fundraising plans, sets fundraising goals for the orchestra, takes part in writing the annual funding plan, sets gift acceptance policies, monitors fundraising costs, engages board members in fundraising activities, cultivates relationships with donors, and recruits new board members.

  • Education - Our Education Committee plays a vital role in connecting the orchestra with the community by developing and implementing programs and initiatives that foster music appreciation in students of all ages. The committee is responsible for developing, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive approach to music education, ensuring programs are relevant, accessible, and aligned with IBO’s mission.

  • Finance - The Finance Committee is one of the most important pillars of our organization, providing overall financial oversight to our organization. The committee provides short- and long-term financial oversight for the organization, assists with budgeting and financial planning, monitors cash flow, provides contextual financial reports, and monitors internal controls and accountability, transparency, and risk management.

  • Marketing - The Marketing Committee is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promote IBO, our events, and our mission. This includes building brand awareness, attracting audiences, increasing engagement with the organization's activities, developing marketing materials, managing social media presence, developing engaging content, and staying up-to date on marketing trends.
