Italy is more than just Vivaldi’s Four Seasons! This program reflects the great variety in Italian forms and styles in the late 17th and earlier 18th centuries. Barthold Kuijken will lead the orchestra in a program including composers famous in their own time, but living in the shadow of Vivaldi and Corelli today. It’s up to you to discover their quality and charm!
Between Temporal and Eternal Things | January 31, 2027
In collaboration with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, this program led by Adriane Post and Brad Hughley will challenge listeners to look past the fleeting nature of the earthly world and focus on the eternal. The sacred music of Johann Sebastian Bach pivots nimbly between these two realms, using musical instruments as vivid metaphors to guide our spiritual compass on an earthly pilgrimage.
